Our Response to CoVID-19

CoVID-19 presented an unprecedented challenge to our communities, our world and our lives.  At Curate Healthcare Services, we have taken steps to address this challenge.

Our responsibility as healthcare providers is to educate our partners, families, patients and communities about this virus and what we can do to mitigate the spread.  Please see the current guidance from the Centers for Disease Control (https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/index.html).

CoVID-19 is an infection caused by the novel coronavirus SARS-CoV-2, to which humans previously lacked any natural immunity.  The best approach is prevention, which we pursue by rigorous hand hygiene, vaccination, and appropriate treatment when necessary. Sadly, CoVID-19 affected vulnerable populations disproportionately, including seniors and patients with preexisting medical conditions.  This describes the majority of the patients for whom we care.

Telemedicine - In early 2020, our practice quickly pivoted to using telemedicine, which we had already used to some extent earlier.  Though we have now returned to the bedside, we learned from this experience and can leverage telemedicine visits when necessary to provide timely and effective clinical care.

Education - We spend a lot of time teaching patients, families and facilities about how best to deal with this and other infectious diseases.  We're here as a resource.

Outreach - We're available to reach out to new facilities who need our expertise in handling healthcare in this brave new world.

For questions about how a particular facility deals with CoVID-19 (including their policies and regulations), please reach out to that facility.
